Certification Pathways
- Level Certification — Demonstrates proven skill and performance by meeting every requirement at a given level in Core JKD, Rebel Wing Chun, or CJKD Weapons—you may train and test in a single curriculum, in any two, or across all three.
- Group Leader — You teach while still refining your fundamentals.
- Group Leader‑Certified — You have proven skill in both performance and teaching.
- Instructor‑Certified — Our highest field credential. You mentor other leaders and—working closely with the Founder—conduct level‑certification testing for your own students while potentially contributing articles, photos, and video content that grow Core JKD’s global presence on Patreon, our website, and the official YouTube channel.
Each pathway can focus on the full Core JKD Curriculum or on specialties like Rebel Wing Chun or CJKD Weapons.
How Testing Works
- Show solid fundamentals and safe, ego‑free teaching.
- Submit video demos or test live on‑site. Distance tests include a live video Q&A.
- Receive clear feedback. Pass earns public recognition; a retest plan follows if you miss the mark.

Students may test for skill levels alone or follow your lead toward their own Group Leader certification.
Beyond Instructor‑Certified
Senior Instructor — Works closely with the Founder to refine and expand the Core JKD experience worldwide. Responsibilities include recording in‑depth teaching and training videos, authoring articles for our website, and providing showcase content across Patreon and the official YouTube channel. Instructor‑Certified leaders continue to guide classes, host seminars, and approve student testing in collaboration with the Founder.
